A Critical Review of Data-Driven Transient Stability Assessment of Power Systems: Principles, Prospects and Challenges

Transient stability assessment (TSA) has always been a fundamental means for ensuring the secure and stable operation of power systems. Due to integration new elements such as electronics, electric vehicles renewable generations, dynamic characteristics systems are becoming more complex, which makes TSA an increasingly urgent task. Since traditional time-domain simulations direct method cannot meet actual requirements systems, data-driven attracted growing attention from both academia industry. This paper comprehensive review following four aspects: feature extraction selection, model construction, online learning rule extraction; then, summarizes challenges prospects future research; finally, draws conclusions this review. will be beneficial relevant researchers better understand research status, key technologies existing in field.
